Hello folks!
Recently I received my first printed criticism.
It was in regards to a little comic I draw for Westword called 4 Questions. It was a short letter in the paper that said ” I miss Derf. That new comic you got to replace it sucks ass!”
And that was it. Which is okay. I can’t get mad at somebody for missing Derf’s City comic which used to run in Westword Which was a good time. But I can get irritated that this dude took time from his busy child molesting schedule to make sure that everyone in my city knew what he thought of my interviews with bands.
Mainly because 4 Questions (My comic, remember?) isn’t a replacement for Derf’s comic at all!
Derf’s City comic is a syndicated comic strip! It runs in a bunch of papers and wasn’t anywhere near where 4 Questions is in Westword! Plus, 4 Questions is basically just to boost Denver’s music scene. I don’t put punch lines in these things.
So, It’s there in this week’s Westword. A letter from a Hitler fan. right above a letter that praises my comic. Making it official I guess. Nazis don’t like my comic strip 4 Questions.
In other news,
Blammo is doing pretty well. If you don’t have one than you are missing out.
But if you are offended by harsh language and bad words than please don’t bother me about it. I refuse to think about anybody’s sensitivities but my own.
Blammo will be worth SO much gold in the future once I kill myself on the steps of some state capitol. So I’m telling you to BUY it now while it’s still four dollars.
I’m going out to SF again this week. This time with Robin. Just to hang out. Stay tuned.
