Hole in my wall

September 22, 2008

So, during this summer our air conditioner was broken. The people in charge of our building kept telling Matt and I that they would stop by and change the broken one for a new one. It is now almost October and they decided now would be good time to get to it!  I’m glad they  found the time to replace our air conditioner, because I’ve been Freezing lately! Shmucks. They just too out the broken one and taped up a board to the hole in the wall! And wouldn’t ya know it, a week or so since they’ve been here the board has fallen off the wall! The tape is no longer sticky. I hope no birds decide to check out my place one day! I also hope no major storms come soon. Maybe, they are just busy….

call them everyday until they come fix it. Also, nudge them towards a discounted rent for the months that you’re being put out because of them not keeping up on maintenance.

Tell them your father used to be a lawyer. That will scare them into compliance with the landlord-tenant laws. In the meantime, you could cover over the hole with something artsy. Oooh, make it look like a child crawling out of the hole, so that people on the sidewalk will get all stirred up and call the Rescue Squad. That should garner some attention and fame. Yeah, stuff some baby clothes and stick a paper mache baby head on top or a doll head. I hope you’re on a higher floor. I love you. You have to endure great suffering if you want to be anything like your old dad.

    Love,
    The Dadling
